Application Writing Workshop Presented to CLA Graduate Students for 3rd Year
For a third consecutive year, Dr. Lisa Nielsen and Dr. Bradley Dilger will host a workshop series designed to help CLA graduate students write applications for external fellowships. They will use the Zoom platform. The series will be three Wednesday sessions in a row, from 11 AM to noon. CLA graduate students are invited to enroll if they are able to attend all three sessions: 6/9, 6/16, and 6/23/2021.
Additionally, they will provide attendees with resources to the essentials of writing fellowship applications: identifying fellowships that are a good fit, reading the RFP carefully, and drafting the application. Optional activities will be provided each week, and students who complete the activities will get individualized feedback.
Most graduate students apply to fellowships after they reach doctoral candidacy – in the penultimate year of their studies. However, we welcome graduate students at all levels. What Drs. Nielsen and Dilger share will be useful not only for fellowships, but other grants and post-doctoral work as well.

It is requested that CLA graduate students please do not share the registration link outside CLA. Unfortunately, the registration system the Graduate School uses cannot screen registrants by college. Non-CLA students who register will be removed by Graduate School staff. Zoom links will be provided 24 hours before each event begins. Dr. Nielsen and Dr. Dilger welcome your questions about the workshop.
