Doctoral training in International Cultural Industries in France (Virtual Event)

Interested CLA graduate students are invited to participate in a French virtual training doctoral program offered by the CLA partner, The French Laboratory of Excellence at University of Paris. The program helps students discover and learn about European and international cultural research topics, as well as creative industries research topics, in an interdisciplinary manner. It offers Ph.D. students and post-docs the opportunity to attend a doctoral training program from March 3 to 5 and March 8 to 9.

This doctoral program offers (via teleconferencing) a panorama of current issues specific to one of the following cultural and creative domains: TV and Radio, cinema, the music industry, publishing, museum curation and management, design, video games, and new media. Students will learn about state of the art research, and get the opportunity to make connections and discover new opportunities to conduct research and study abroad.

The program is free of charge. To participate, interested parties must complete the registration form as soon as possible.

LABEX ICCA

LE LABEX ICCA brings together teachers – researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and doctoral students who have in common to work on the sectors of culture, education, media, and art, as well as on the creative industries and the digital transformation.

The diversity of the different cultural industries represented within the LabEx ICCA (music, publishing, cinema, television, video games, museum, design) constitutes a strength from which doctoral students working in these sectors have benefited since its creation, particularly during our summer universities.

We strengthen this scientific environment, for the benefit of doctoral students, by offering each year a specialized interdisciplinary training program.

GOALS

THE ICCA INTERDISCIPLINARY DOCTORAL TRAINING

PROGRAM allows doctoral students to acquire a common base of knowledge covering all sectors and disciplines of the ICCA LabEx. It allows them to enrich the contributions of their own discipline and their knowledge of the sector they are studying with complementary approaches, concepts, and data.

Cross-sectoral, this program responds to the need to combine the specialization required by doctoral research with a more general dimension, a real asset in the fields of research and teaching.
