NSF OFFERS DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE AND CONNECTED FIELDS

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) has long represented an important pillar in the support of early-career research pathways; this is true now more than ever.

This latest GRFP solicitation encourages and accepts applications in social science, and the review process will as always have a foundation based on individual merit. This year’s GRFP deadline is October 20, 2020, for social science. Learn more by visiting the following URL:

Purdue graduate students in social science have been successful recipients of this prestigious grant competition. All eligible social science graduate students and their mentors are encouraged to consider applying. The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States.

The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing full-time research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in science, social science, or (STEM). The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant research achievements in STEM or STEM education. NSF actively encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups, persons with disabilities, veterans, as well as undergraduate seniors to apply.
